Close Board Fence

We supply and install a range of competitively priced close board fences to our Commercial clients. Our range can be installed with timber or concrete posts and can range from 1.1 to 2.5 meters tall. 

Close board fencing is constructed on-site from start to finish, so it is very adaptable. Because of this, it is a good option For sites that have changes in height and direction.   

A Grade Closeboard Fencing 

Fencing Overvew 

A Grade close board fencing can be built from 1.1 to 2.5 meters in height with either timber or concrete posts and gravel boards. This is as long-lasting and strong as timber fencing gets.

Warranties may not be issued in some cases. This will be agreed before work commencing. 

A Grade Close Board Fencing Specifecation  

A Grade close board fencing is constructed using 100 x 100 mm softwood pressure treated timber post positioned vertically approximately 1.8 m apart from centre post to centre post. Each post is painted with bitumen paint approximately 600 mm from the bottom of the post upwards. The post is held in place using 2 No. 25KG bags of post creat. The post hols are a minimum of 500mm deep with some exceptions to avoid tree roots or foundations. Softwood pressure-treated counter rails and gravel boards are fixed to the vertical posts using 75mm external screws. The softwood pressor treated feather cladding is overlapped by approximately 25mm and nailed through the overlap to all three counter rails. A trenched softwood pressure treated capping is then added and fixed to the top of the fence.

B Grade Closeboard Fencing 

Fencing Overvew 

B Grade Close board fencing can be built from 1.1 to 1.95 meters tall with either treated timber of concrete posts.

B Grade Close Board Fencing Specifecation  

B Grade close board fencing is constructed using 100 x 100 mm softwood pressure treated timber post positioned vertically approximately 2.4 m apart from centre post to centre post. Each post is painted with bitumen paint approximately 600 mm from the bottom of the post upwards. The post is held in place using 1.5 No. 25KG bags of post creat. The post hols are a minimum of 400mm deep with some exceptions to avoid tree roots or foundations. Softwood pressure-treated counter rails and gravel boards are fixed to the vertical posts using 75mm external screws. The softwood pressor treated feather cladding is overlapped by approximately 15mm and nailed through the overlap to all three counter rails. A trenched softwood pressure treated capping is then added and fixed to the top of the fence.

C Grade Closeboard Fencing 

Fencing Overvew 

This type of fencing can be built from 1.1 to 1.95 meters tall with either concrete or timber posts. Developers most commonly use this grade.

C Grade close board fencing is constructed using 100 x 100 mm softwood pressure treated timber post positioned vertically approximately 3.0 m apart from centre post to centre post. The posts are held in place using 1 No. 25KG bag of post creat. The post hols are a minimum of 400mm deep with some exceptions to avoid tree roots or foundations. Softwood pressure-treated counter rails and gravel boards are fixed to the vertical posts using 75mm external screws. The softwood pressor treated feather cladding is overlapped by approximately 7mm and nailed through the overlap to all three counter rails.
